Afternoon ladies and gents

I just wanted to write a quick introduction as to who I am. I've been building starlets for the last decade or so, owning 8 myself. I've had plenty of breaks from starlets but I always seem to be drawn back and I think its time I gave something back to the community. Which leads me to the reason behind this post.

Finally after many years working for other people I've started up on my own doing what I love doing, which is building sporty cars. We cover anything and everything but specialise in Jap imports, usually Toyota powered. In the year I've been open I've built 1&2JZ powered BDC pro cars, a V8 converted 300zx and quite a few starlets among other things.

I do 90% of the work carried out in house, fabrication work, engine building, tuning etc with really the only outsourced work being machine work. Our new website is constantly being updated with new pictures and videos of the work we are carrying out.

We do offer dyno and road tuning, although the preferred method is on a dyno for license preservation reasons! I've worked on loads of ecus over the years but now I try to stick to what I supply. Link, Motorsport Electronics, Haltech and Maxxecu. We do have the most common starlet options listed on the website to make it easy for you guys.

I've seen a few posts now about the ME221/442 ecus and I'm happy to answer any questions about them that you might have.

The other side of the business is the parts supply, I like to think I'm quite selective about what we offer on the store and I can say that I have tested each brand personally in some form. I'm constantly trying to add more to the range so if you have any suggestions then please let me know and I will see what we can do.

Over the next few days I'll add posts about the main things we offer, the ME221/442 ecus and our engine builds for example as well as some of the development parts we are creating on our demo glanza.

Anyway, if anyone has any questions please don't hesitate to ask, the workshop is flat out so replies might not be instant at the moment but please do get in touch either on here or any of the other channels. I look forward to working with some of you and helping build some serious monsters.

Cheers

Jake @ Lingfield Motor Company
