rick bradner
Hi I'm fairly new here. I posted the following in the KP project blog, but perhaps it's more appropriate here. I'm looking for an engine to replace the 1500 pre-xflow Ford lump in my Rochdale Olympic. I'm hoping to increase performance without putting more power through the shell as the Rochdale is stressed GRP, and so the obvious solution is to reduce weight (right Colin?) and one of the engines I'm looking at is the Toyota KP61&62 from 1978 - 1984. Surprisingly (or maybe not) it's been difficult to find the details I need, specifically, overall dimensions (LxHxW) and the overall weight of the motor. Is the block aluminium or cast iron? thanks for any feedback with this info cheers -rick bradner (vancouver)
