enots Posted April 29, 2015 Author Share Posted April 29, 2015 (edited) **UPDATE 29/4/15** Ok been plowing as much as my spare time into this as i possibly can around work etc and i'm so close to being done and that japfest deadline is creeeping up way to quick for my liking haha! Today was meant to be fire up the engine day....didn't quite go to plan i don't seem to be getting any fuel at all can't hear the pump running or anything so pretty pi**ed of is an understatment. had a quick look around seems a few wires at one of the ecu plugs have been chopped in the past guessing a fcd or something. Anyone know if any of these would cause any problems with the fuel pump??about to do some digging online so i've got some things to check tomorrow when i head back to the garage. Any help hugely appreciated anyway few pics she's all fully painted now headlights and grill have gone in, finally done all the brake lines and fuel lines are in place, mounted the fmic excuse the wonkeyness in some pics its all sorted now.Got hold of some clip on windscreen washer jets as i didnt fancy having to drill the bonnet again and started slotting some of my old interior back in centre console etc.Also had the pleasure of finding out the clutch master cylinder had shit itself so that has been another joyful job lol car just seems to keep throwing more at me!! enots Posted May 4, 2015 Author Share Posted May 4, 2015 (edited) **UPDATE 4/5/15** Safe to say this weekend has been pretty succesful although stressful with the amount of shit this cars throwing at me!! BUT it runs!! I've finally driven it!!!! after issues with getting the fuel pump running then no spark it finally works safe to say i'm over the fucking moon!! at this rate its defo making japfest which is a fucking relief!! still need to clamp my fuel lines up out of the way properly and then its just electrics which are being an absolute mare!! If anyone has any ideas on these problems please give me some info as i'm clueless when it comes to electrics!! but i started doing the wiring for the quadlights because its a squarelight loom followed the guides online went to test them and the engine started firing up instead of the lights just coming on I'm assuming its down to the earths from the headlights at the moment or i've buggered something up somewhere lol! also have no power to the heater controls as we speak so haven't actually bled the radiator yet! anyway few pics Edited February 7, 2021 by enots Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I have no idea if these forums even have the traffic they used too but after logging in for a nose I thought I'd put a little update 5 years down the line 😂 Car has been sat in my old unit for most of that time, with endless issue after issue which killed any love i had for the car... But recently moved to a new unit and I've been spending every free hour I've got over there getting it sorted and its finally playing ball! Ive got a fair amount of body work to re sort on it and it'll be getting a proper paint job this time round as there's a booth next door to my unit 🤘 Maybe I'll get it to some events this year if we have any on!
