Robs Precision Boosted Track Build..She's for sale......

Recommended Posts

Had this a while now but never actually posted this up!

Some of you would of seen it for sale the other week, but after someone came to view it i couldn't actually bare to see it go so have decided to keep it.

I brought this last August after not having the time to boost the SR. I now have a nice daily so don't have to rely on this anymore which means i can pull it all apart and actually build something respectable. Mind you i think this is gonna be abit of a slow burner as i still have no time whatsoever due to work!

Was brought from Dale (Rinseep82) off here, didn't do all that much with it at the start, and still haven't really apart from tidying up a few bits here and there.

Not gonna bother listing the spec as its all gonna start coming off this sunday - will try and keep this updated as i go, and i endeavour to finish a properly built track focus'd starlet!

A pic of what it currently is sitting like.

Started pulling some bits off today.. So i can get everything ready to hoist the engine out.

- ABS - in the bin

- Standard PAS - in the bin

List of things to do next..

-Main Oil Seal when the lump is out

-Refresh engine and gearbox / full clean up

-Fabricate solid brake lines to remove ABS and standard proportioning valve

-Retro fit electric Saxo power steering pump with custom lines in a switched wiring loom. (Can be turned off when upto speed)

-Replace clutch

-Engine back in with new turbo setup - still to be decided!

Obligatory pic - looks bloody awful at the moment!

I was thinking inner wing on the drivers side but I don't think I'll have loads of room to run the pipework as I wanna keep it neat. It's gonna be fully stripped with one seat so it'll probs end up in passenger footwell

looking forward to seeing this progress. Such a good base and as i said before if i was looking for one i would have taken it off you the day it went for sale ha

Thanks mate, I've learnt a lot in the 7 odd years I've been involved with them so this one should turn out pretty good. Gonna try some things that aren't the norm so to say.

Rare day off tomoz, so will try and crack on with stripping more of the bay down.

Yea did a bit more work on it today however got slightly side tracked as i had to fit some suspension to my mates evo instead.

Still cleaning, got the crank pulley off the engine today as it wasn't playing ball the other day!

Stripped more of the bay ready to paint, and make the brake lines / pas lines up.

hopefully get the engine back in start of next month (not exactly soon but i only have sundays to work on it)
