As 5e colin says, from the PCV (Positive Crankcase Pressure) valve instead of going back into your intake all the fumes and nasty shit for emissions to get re-burned you route it to your catch can.

The benefit over not doing it is that it help keep the inside of your intake manifold a lot cleaner and the combustion cleaner too as you can imagine that black oily stuff in the catch can is getting burned inside the engine if the catch can wasn't there.

Hope this helps :)

Yes, I would say its a good thing to do regardless if your running big power or stock. You can spend your money on other things such as FMIC or the likes before tackling the ventilation system thoo :)

The benefits come more as you run more power as the engine can breath way more as the 4EFTE does not have a crank case breather, only what is on the rocker cover.

ah i see, plans at the moment are to just improve on the onboard stuff already, so oil catch can now, braided brake lines, etc just little bits to make it abit better, as im on a tight budget for the moment -_-
