Car's now sold I'm afraid!
-
Year:98 Model:glanza Tax: August 2014 MOT: Feb 2015 Mileage:mixture of km and miles working out to be about 90k Location: Near Maidstone in Kent Description: After a year of owning my Glanza, I am unfortunately now in a position where I need to sell due to needing something a bit cheaper to help me save for a house deposit. Really don't want to have to sell but unfortunately needs must. Originally bought from little dave about a year ago the spec is as follows: front varis bumper. varis rear bumper Rs recaro recliner seats which are comfy Tein coil overs all round Rota grids 15" with Proxies all round Willwood calipers and fast road pads, grooved disks (not Wilwood) White line rear arb White line adjustable pan hard Super dragger exhaust with the silencer removed and a straight pipe welded on Optional 3 point rear strut brace Wepr ram horn external gated td04 mani like new with tail waste gate Cj white hoses Tmd race spec cam cover Greddy boost controller Turbo timer can't remember the make off hand Full interior in great condition Short shifter possible trd but can't remember Optional mid spoiler 98 spec rear lights Light weight wheel nuts And nearly forgot oem LSD in good condition The car is running 198 BHP at 1.05 bar with a dyno printout to prove. Gearbox back bearing changed a few months ago Pioneer CD player with good parcel shelf speakers Currently has the passenger Recaro in the car with the original drivers seat. This is due to me being taller than little dave and the Recaro being bolted directly to the floor. With the Recaro in I don't fit. Both the original and Recaro driver and passenger seats will be included in the sale Car is fitted with Proxies all round, I also have 2 R888s that will be included in the sale There are a couple of bad bits to be mentioned though nothing major: Small crack in the windscreen Small amount of cracking on the rear bumper. This is not noticeable unless you are right up close. Small amount of rust on the corners of the bonnet. This is caused by the way it was stored before I purchased the car. The corner have very slightly bent and cracked the paintwork. This is however the only rust on the car, overall it is very clean with no rust at all on the underside. No paperwork from before I bought it as this wasn't provided to me Overall a lovely car and very quick and a lot of fun to drive, I really don't want to have to sell up. Price: £3100 ono Pics:

I'm looking for a full exhaust for a 98 spec V if anyone has one for sale? Not after anything fancy though, just something reasonably priced to replace my one to make it a bit easier to sell when I put it up soon. Cheers
-
Yeah it is an OEM. Excellent, cheers for the help!

I already have an LSD box in the car so I should already have the rear mount? I also have driveshafts for both the driver and passenger sides. I originally thought it was a driveshaft problem but turns out it was the diff bearing

I have a 98 spec Glanza V that needs a new gearbox. Will the one linked fit and work properly? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOYOTA-STARLET-GT-GLANZA-EP82-EP91-LSD-GEARBOX-5-SPEED-/281140985819?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item41754effdb

@Jordk - Unfortunately I need one for an LSD otherwise I would have had it off you! @Morgey - If I had an ounce of mechanical knowledge I would give it a go myself, unfortunately I would probably break something else in the process of trying to fix it thanks for the info though, if I can't find a new gearbox for it soon I'll have a look around for someone to repair it. I think it's about to give up judging by the amount of noise it was making yesterday!
-
After giving the V to a mechanic to replace my driveshafts, he has told me that it's actually the diff bearing in the gearbox that is causing the horrible amount of noise. So I'm after a gearbox for a 98 spec V with an LSD. On a side note he has quoted me around £800 to get the bearing replaced, is this a good price? Might see about getting it rebuilt if theres not going to be too much difference in price to buying a new gearbox

Awesome, pm'd you mate
-
How much do you want for them and where are you from?
-
What condition are they in? How much for delivery/what part of london are you in. If its not too far from me I might be able to pick them up?
-
The one with the Varis kit is mine!

Hi guys My car is currently sounding like a helicopter due to the drive shaft being on its way out. Is anyone selling one/know where I can get one? I'm after both sides and its for a 98 spec EP91. Thanks
-
No idea! I've taken it to a mate's garage and hes going to put some spacers on to move everything out a bit. If that fails I'll have to get them machined down a bit to get them to fit. Its a massive pain in the arse!
-
Ok I didnt mean to post that yet, stupid phone! Anyway, they're the rotors I bought. The only problem I had with them is they were slightly thicker than my old ones so rubbed against the ball joints. Nice gouge on each disc now! :-(
-
I managed to find some online. They werent wilwoods but nowhere did them big enough. I took the disc off to measure for myself and used the website compbrake.com. They were £150 per rotor (i dont know if thats a good price) but they have quite a few sizes. Hope this helps someone!
-
What part of the south east are you from? I should be able to come to you so you can measure them if you want?
-
I've pm'ed you a couple of times mate. Need the brakes quite badly!
-
Hi guys I currently have Wilwood brakes on the car but the discs and pads both need replacing. I have the serial number for the calipers (AU-120-7377) which I can use to find pads that fit, but not for the discs. I measured the discs earlier at 285mm which is 11.22 in inches but can't find any the right size on the Wilwood website. Is anyone able to recommend some discs and pads that will fit with these calipers? The wheels are 15" Rota Grids.
-
Oh sorry I forgot to mention its for EP91. Thanks anyway though
-
Is anyone selling rails for Recaro seats? The ones I have are fixed but unfortunately I'm rather tall so am unable to fit!
-
OK thanks, I'll probably just leave it as it is then for now!
