Totally agree. I work at the airport, drive everybody else's cars - range rovers, audi jags etc keyless ignitions electronic handbrakes, all mod cons. Makes me wonder what will happen when they start going wrong. Couldn't get into a car to start it yesterday as key fob battery had died. I actually look forward to the drive home in my Starlet . I was very surprised at how nippy it is and what a smooth ride, even over the many speed bumps we have in this town! Given its about 18 yrs old it's quite incredible. This VW fan has been converted

Hi all Was looking for golf or polo and stumbled upon a little white starlet. It's an si, very basic on R plate. Bought for 340 with yr mot 70k on clock and tank of fuel. Had loads of cars in my time and for some odd reason I'm loving driving this. Will be keeping this a while, already got my Bluetooth radio in, upgraded the headlight bulbs, took stickers off, fixed remote boot lever. Waiting for clear indicators to arrive and also plan on painting black round door window frame. Off to look round some 'how to's'. Karen - Harlow
