  3. Thanks for moving the thread Enzo. I pay a lot of attention to detail alright. I would prefer to do it once and do it properly. I dont put many miles on it, but you can be sure I will once I finish I bought an AE86 Twin Cam a few weeks ago for my current everyday drive until this is finished. I miss boost! The armrest was done by Ecksjay on the forum, and his work is top notch. I just looking forward to getting the engine build underway and the parts fitted at this stage. If it comes out as well as yours I will be happy
  4. Thanks for all the kind comments guys.
  5. Thats no problem. I will be able to give you a look at the twin cam and the Glanza if it is back on the road.
  6. I have been a member on here long enough so its about time I finally got round to setting up my members garage page. These are the pictures taken at the time when I purchased the car: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdIxXJ7m2Go...h?v=NdIxXJ7m2Go The car had came with CT9 Hybrid Turbo, Manifold, Decat, Blitz Nur Spec Exhaust, HKS SSQV , FMIC, JAM ECU, Apexi AVCR, Apexi SAFC NEO and Walbro Fuel pump so the car wasnt by any means slow My long term plan was always to forge the engine and get the most out of the 4EFTE, so I set about collecting the parts straight away. Here is some pictures of what I have got my hands on so far: I then decided that I was also going to need a few styling changes aswell. So I reached for my wallet again: With the new set up I was planning, handling was also going to be very important so I invested in the following: The car is curently parked up awaiting the final few pieces before the work is carried out on the forged rebuild. The full spec list and parts I have already purchased and are waiting to be fitted is as follows: ENGINE SPEC: Ross 74.5mm Forged Racing Pistons SCAT Forged Conrods With ARP Bolts Uprated Headgasket New Toyota Oil Pump New Toyota Water Pump New Toyota Oil Seals New Conrod bearings New Head Bolts New Main bearings New Thrust washer New Complete Cambelt/Tensioner/Idler Kit New Alternator Belt New Uprated ACL Bearings New Fuel Filter New Dizzy Cap and Rotar Arm TD04L Turbo Braided Oil And water Lines WEPR Manifold WEPR Downpipe TIAL 38mm external wastegate WEPR Screamer Pipe WEPR FMIC WEPR Custom Exhaust System Speedvision Triple Core Racing Radiator SPAL 10 " Fan Air Con Removed NGK Blue Ignition leads NGK Idrium Spark Plugs (Heat Range HKS Fuel Rail HKS Mushroom Filter TRD Oil Cap Greddy Oil Cooler Kit Greddy Oil Filter Relocation Kit Apexi Power FC and Commader Apexi AVCR Apexi SAFC NEO Greddy Turbo Timer 255LPH Walbro Fuel Pump TRD Engine Mounts Sard Fuel Pressure Regulator With Guage Sard 550cc Injectors Blitz Boost Guage Greddy Type S Blow Off Valve Cruise Valve Springs Uprated Cams (265 Degree Intake/Exhaust -8mm Intake/Exhaust) Greddy Oil Catch Can Apexi 3 bar Map Sensor Tuning Developments Blue Adjustable Camshaft Pulley Tuning Developments Throttle Boddy Pulley Blue Super Kavelar Timing Belt TRD Oil Filter All Samco Hosing (Blue) TRD Reservoir Covers SPS Clear Cambelt Cover SARD Thermostat TRANSMISSION: TRD 1.5/2 Way LSD TRD Quickshift ORC 309 Single Plate Clutch and Lightened Flywheel SUSPENSION: TRD Adjustable Coilovers Whiteline Anti Lift Kit Whiteline Adjustable Panhard Rod Standard Front Strut Brace INTERIOR: Ractive Bucket Seats Stripped Rear TRD Gear Knob TRD Dial Surround Indiglo Dials Centre Arm Rest Retrimmed in Red Recaro Material Half Roll Cage EXTERIOR: 98/99 Spec Custom Front Bumper with optional factory Lip 98/99 Spec Rear Splitter Genuine Livesports Rear Spoiler Lower Duck Spoiler Standard Factory Sideskirts JAM Replica Front Eyebrows 16 Spoom Sport Alloys in White TRD Lug Nuts Reflet Rear Lenses TRD Badges Custom Made Bonnet Raisers in Red SECURITY: Sigma Alarm System I am planning on having the engine work and parts fitted over the next few weeks. I would also like to thank the forum members and Traders for providing me with the parts and advise needed to undertake the build. All feedback, questions and suggestions are more than welcome Thanks for reading. Damien Update: PHASE 1 BEGINS: So work finally began on the car over the last few days. A big thanks goes to Dan for removing the engine from the car for me. All the lights have now been removed from the car - and will be replaced with new ones. The rear has been stripped out, and I have removed the front bumper, rear bumper, sideskirts and spoiler. My bumper has also been sent of to Aidan@EPstyling to have the rea lip attached. The car is now ready to have the new body parts fitted and be fully resprayed in its original red colour. The engine will also be sent off to the engineers as my cruise headgasket has arrived this week Here are some pics: More updates to follow soon. Watch this space
  7. The RWD takes a bit of getting used to but I love it. Its not to everyones taste but I'm delighted with it. I havnt drivin the Glanza in a while as it is getting some work done, but there is no comparison with the boost and dump valve of the Glanza!
  8. Its Jap spec with a few UK style mods
  9. I still have the Glanza alright. Would not part with it. Its going to have the engine forged in the next few weeks for my TD04 set up Cant wait. Then I will get to fit all the new parts that I have purchased for it
  10. I picked this up last week. Im delighted with it. Any opinions welcome CLEANED THE CAM I got my new Clifford concept alarm with Blackjax system installed. I also got my stickers for the doors andbrackets for the fog lights made up. More updates to follow soon.
  11. The standard offset on toyota glanza alloys is ET 37/38 but I would like to know if ET31 will still fit ok on a Glanza? The alloy type is Advan RG and they are 16 inches in size and 7 inches in width? All help is very much appreciated
  12. Just want to say a massive thanks to Sam. He responded to all my stupid PM's very quickly, sorted out the parts for me and the arrived at my door in a matter of days! 15. That should be interesting. Keep us updated
  16. He bought his privately on TGTT but it could be worth asking one of the traders.
  17. They are easy to fit alrite, but injectors alone will not increase BHP. If you put 330cc injectors on a stock or mild tuned starlet without an uprated ecu is a crued way of upping the fuel, as is a fuel regulator kit. It would be best to get some kind of engine managment if you want to change injectors, so as to get the fuel where it needs to be and not just running rich all the time. You will not need 550cc injectors as that will be overkill. What is your current set up and what power are you hoping for?
  18. Hi Mate, These seem to be a good bit of kit for the money, and the guys on TGTT recommend them for there ep82: EP82 Intercooler Feedback On this Intercooler Hope this helps
  19. It will probably be best to go for a set of forged pistons while you are changing rather than retaining the stock Toyota pistons. It would be best to replace all of them when you are at it. With this in mind, you could go for a set of 74mm or 74.5mm bore and get the block bored for fitment if going for oversize. If going for forged pistons, I would recommend going for Ross or Weisco dished pistons. At least that way, you would not have to do it further down the line if you change your plans and decide to go for more power. The traders currently offer good prices on the forged pistons too.
  20. Hi Colin, To look with the eye, make sure that the diaphragm or housing arent cracked. The best way to test if it opens ok and what pressure it opens at would be to do the following: Put a compressor with a pressure guage or a standard air pump with guage into the wastegate hole at the bottom of the wastegate. Then apply some pressure from the pump into the wastegate and keep an eye on the guage on the pump/compressor. When the Wastegate is full open you can read the gauge and you know that the wastegate works and when the wastegate will open. I hope this helps
  21. That was a great vid Joz, thanks for posting
