Thanks Jay that helps heaps, mine are seized and a rebuild kit is about as much as a decent second hand pair! Thanks again. Tony

Hi Can I fit Glanza rear calipers onto my GT? I am unsure about the ABS setup. Has anybody experience of this? Any help appreciated. Thanks
-
Cool thanks guys! Are the front 2 straps bolted to the car or do they clip into eye bolts? Thanks
-
Well its MOT time soon and I was wondering if anybody has had any issues with bucket seats on universal frames with harnesses? They are 3 point bolted in. Please share your experiences. Cheers

Wallace you are not too wrong there, there are alot of sheds on track but also a lot of very expensive cars, tricked up EVO's etc, if you would be devastated if somebody rammed an xr2 into the back of your starlet stay off. There are other days available though. I was at the speed sunday in January and it was mega busy, probably got around 10 clear laps the whole day, and yes, parts of the track are coned off. It has a bad reputation as the old 'hot hatch days' had alot of nutters taking out others' pride and joy! Anyways its a risk you accept before taking your car to the track I guess...

Dont go folks, its a long way for nothing. I got up there around 9ish and it was almost impossible to get in the circuit, there is around 3 inches of snow all the way around the track, you cant even see it, so it has been called off. Anyone who has pre-booked will get a credit note. Thankfully I only live a few miles from there, I hope nobody ventures from too far away! -
Thanks guys, Toby that is an awesome ep! Yes im not too fussed about power at the minute, that can come later. I have D2 coilovers fitted and a panhard rod to go on, it handled very well last time out in the wet, very predictable and not at all twitchy. The stock brakes cooked early on so last week I fitted grooved disks and yellow stuff pads. I hope to feel a difference on Sunday at Knockhill. I picked up another set of wheels so will put some decent tyres on my light set. I see your doors Toby they are fine enough, I might just do that! I have a stock engine but feel an LSD might be

I just fitted a set to my car today, The two front points use the original seatbelt bolts, the rear point you can use the rear belts points under the rear seat as WallaceGlanza said, but once bolted in place, the seat can be replaced, I was going to bin mine but it looks quite tidy left in place. I was bidding on 2 sets of harnesses and thats right I won both sets so I now have for sale a set of red Sabelt harnesses, if you have not already got them?

Hi, Well I have both a starlet GT and corsa 1.8, to be honest they are both pretty much the same on fuel if driven hard. The GT has the expected niggles/knocks/ rattles etc from an older car but its all part and package. The corsa is mint inside though, leather and all, but not as exciting to drive. Also only group 9 insurance. If you do however side with the corsa mine is for sale, in the other cars section, with reduced price! Hope you make the right decision!

Looks like you have kept the bare essentials! Pretty impressive though and gives some inspiration. How does your car handle around the track? And in the wet?!

Hi, I am turning my ep82 into a track car but have not really saw many around. I begun stripping the rear out today and wondered if there are any carbon fibre door cards going around, I know you get them for more popular track cars such as 106 etc If anybody has gone about making they're starlet more track focused please give me some ideas, and pictures! Thanks

Anybody going to this? Last one of the year.

Cheers, yeah it was pretty clean when I got it last week but a week of hooning around on shitty roads takes its toll... Got the exhaust sorted with a powerflow custom job so all is good!
-
Pics as promised Go easy on the wheels they are an aquired taste!

Thanks for that Jay, although it didnt really get any quieter when at working temperature. I will stop the next GT when I see one to compare! I will watch it closely, I have only had the car 1 week so still to give it a good going over service wise. Again, thanks for the response. Cheers
-
Thanks for that, I am going to give it a full service soon and get somebody that knows what they are talking about to have a wee look!

Hi guys, I started my ep82 this morning and a ticking noise became apparent, I lifted the bonnet and it is coming from the belts area. I know they should make some noise but this seems excessive. I could just be paranoid though... Any help appreciated. Cheers
-
Thanks for the welcome guys. Yeah bollocks to the harsh ride it handles like a dream! ~I am away to get priced up for a powerflow exhaust tomorrow, I know its not blitz or hks but never mind! I started it up this morning and a ticking noise became apparent, I lifted the bonnet and it seemed to be coming from the belts area, i took it for a run but is still the same, now I may (probably) be paranoid but should I be concerned? I cant remember it being like that the other day but it probably was. Anybody want to put my mind at ease??? Cheers and when I get round to washing it I will get t

Thanks for that, yes I had a look on their website and your right, it does not make much difference!! I will just put with it, or sit on pillow maybe??? I may look at a custon exhaust, how noisy is the Nur spec and HKS exhausts? I dont want an asbo! You will have to wait until after the weekend for pictures im afraid!

I will get some pictures up soon lads. I have played about with it a bit this morning, it has D2 coilovers fitted and the ride seems incredibly hard. I wound out the knurled knob on top ot the strut but there is another black nut below that, does anybody know which is rebound/ compression? It handles really well but is far too stiff for the roads around here! I will get the spanners out and let you know. If anybody has these and any info please share... Cheers

Hi, Im Tony from Fife. Just picked up my ep82 tonight and super fun! Although I am in desperate need for a new exhaust system. The existing system has come away where the back box meets the link pipe, could be repaired but rather put on a fresh system. Can anybody recommend a good system or even better sell me one at a reasonable price??? I have had a look around and they are not cheap. I will get some pictures up soon. Cheers
