alright everyone, i have a standard starlet engine wise apart from the full exhaust system and hks mushroom filter. i fancy getting a td04, but was wondering what else i need. as im guessing its not a case of just bolting it in place of the ct9 and jobs a good'un any advise would be grate, cheers all. will. alright everyone. my starlet turbo has almost done 100,000 km . im want to do an oil and filter change on it. and ive got some shell hrlix ultra 5w-40 fully synthetic oil here. just wondering if this will be good for this engine? cheers guys.

will certainly be gettin a boost gauge first, may get slated for this but.. whats an EBC? also, ive been lokoing on ebay for ep82 stuff.. not the best place to start i know. but ive seen a manifold on there for 89quid.. but im obviously weary.. but the next step up seems to be over the 200 mark. where can i get a good balance of cost/quality for a manifold?

just thaught i'd add, my engine has done about 70,000 miles.. and is pritty damb healthy.. never missed a beat. and always treated well, make sure its fully warm before using boost. it currently has a hks air filter. and a cat-back stainless exhuast system.

hi all, i'd like to get around the 160 bhp mark on my starlet.. and i have no idea whats the cheapist way of getting there on these engines, could you guys give some advise to get to that sort of mark? im knolageable to a certain extent. ive rebuilt my fair share of old VW engines, but im not to clued up when it comes to forced induction. i sont really have a set budget, im not made of money, i'd just be saving up and buying the bits each month. cheers all, Will.

hi all, names will. from north wales. ive been in the vag scene since i started driving and owned 7 mk2 golfs. the latest of which was a 2.0 16v gti, with a lot of internal work. i loved it! pic: i've picked up a lovely starlet turbo, 1994 with the face lift front, the advance version with the wheel and gear knob. it also has the optional extra LSD. done 98000 KM . but the speedomiter has been changed to MPH. other mods include a full stainless exhaust system and hks induction filter, and suspention. i love the starlet but i'd like to get some more power out of it to get it as quick or quicker than my golf was. this keeps up with the golf to about 55mph but then trails behind. now i have never even looked at forced induction so im a bit of a "noob" when it comes to it. can anyone tell me what are the easyest and cheapest ways to get some more power out of the little 1.3? i've been told a remap would be the best bang for buck thing to do.. anyone have experience with what power gains you can get with a remap and how much i'd be likely to spend? i'd also like to get a better exdhaust manifold - but abit warey of what to go for? i havent got alot of money but dont want to buy one thats just going to crack after abit of hard driving. i'll try and get some pics of the starlet up asap, but only have access to a camera phone at the moment so they wont be grate pics. cheers, will. good to be here!

hello everyone, names will. live in north wales, i've been in the vw scence since i got my licence. and currently drive a mk2 golf 1.8 GTI 16v. but a mate of mine is selling his starlet turbo, and took me for a spin in it as i was intrested. and i fell in love right away! it just felt soo nice to be in. im on the look out for one now. i would buy my mates off him but its on ebay right now. . and i dont have the cash just yet. :harhar: he said to make sure i get the gt turbo "advance".. can anyone give me a run down of what was standard or extra, for exalmple, his has a LSD. E/W, PAS, E/M and what to look for in terms of up n coming problems. i want one thats going to be reliable. and im guessing to spend around 2grand on it. hope to be postin pics of my new starlet soon. though im abit fussy so it might take a while to find one i really like. cheers all, Will. good to be here! - hope everyone in this scene is as freindly as people in the veedub scene.
