  1. well im just back from the guys house, and i gotta give him his dues. He squared me up every penny to the cost of fixing the car. Happend on saturday, and squared up by wednesday thats gotta be a record.
  2. hes paying cash, well so he says. no panel is being changed, all fixed and repaird. So no point visitng a scrappy
  3. its not going through the insurance. i have three different quotes and all are keeping the door and fixing it just. It needs bumper sprayed, wing sprayed, door fixed and sprayed, quarter panel fixed and sprayed. also new mirror casing and toyota definatly know how to charge for them. As for getting the new graphics, he is getting billed for them from toyota, but i wont be getting them ill get custom ones made from a graphics company and get them to fill it in solid where i removed the bump strip.
  4. Just as i order in a load of parts for my engine i get side swiped by a BOAT of all things. He was towing a trailer and its the wheel on his trailer is what has casused most of the damage. Quarter panel, door, wing, bumper, mirror casing and 2 alloy wheels all need repaired. It happened on saturday afternoon, on literally my first drive round town after getting out of work. He was in the left lane with a boat on a trailer, then just moved into my lane with no warning or indicating. The guy claims not to have even known he hit me. I ended up having to overtake him and pull in front of him
  5. i was hopeing it was just a case of unscrewing the bolt and moving the arm down. Ill give it a go as soon as i get a chance. thanks
  6. My wipers have started to go further and further accross the window, and eventually into the a pillar. Now they go so far that they are catching on the arial bracket and sticking. Has anyone else every experienced this and or know how to fix it.
  7. this kid has some serious talent. If you know what the cars hes doin are meant to sound like you can really appreciate the quality.
  8. it would be completly impossible to make an exhaust from pictures. When i got my full stainless steel exhaust made i had to go and get it all measured up and they even used some thing to check the exact angles of the bends and get it all made up for me comeing back the following week
  9. when i removed mine, the best thing i found was to get behind the bump strip and easily pull the bump strip off. Once removed you will have two lines of glue down the door at the top and bottom. I tried a few different methods and found putting petrol onto a cloth and rubbing over the glue, then leave it to soak in for 5 mins or so then rub over with the cloth or scrape gently with your nail. Repeat method as required lol
  10. SERIOSLY MATE, HOW THE HELL DID YOU WALK AWAY FROM THAT ONE. thoughts go out to you seriously, at least you caught the prick who did it and wont have to claim agasint your own insurance
  11. speedline are about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike to talk to.
  12. Can someone tell me the exact size of the centre caps needed for the tte wheels on an sr. Going through ebay and since i have one cap completly missing i cant just replace the top sticker bit. Diameter - 57mm Depth including lugs - 20mm Diameter - 63mm Depth including lugs - 25mm only thing i have to measure with is the work measuring tape, no metal rule.
  13. I totally agree. in my opinion the best way to judge a car is to picture your self owning it. There is not even 1% doubt in my mind, i would happily drive both Nangles And Joz's starlet. Both are very tastefully modified.
  14. i now officially hate you nangle. Beat me to the idea lad. As for where to get the paint, Halfords. Just make sure its high temperature paint.
  15. Good to finally put faces to names with some of you guys, Wasnt a bad day weather wise just a bit cold. What you trying to say about me and the gf phil LOL
  16. jesus mate, i thought mine was bad before the wash, looks like youll be up from about 7am then
  17. I got in from work couple of hours early, so just finished cleaning the car. Wash chamois, polish, wax. tyres painted and couple of wee bits tidied up. My new quarter panel sr graphics still havent arrived, so please keep the laughs to a minimum about the gap where my bump strip used to be lol.
  18. Ive been advised the smoothest road into this is to head for bangor, and take left at Dee street. At the docks where the fixed camera is located go into the docks that way. Apparently its been resurfaced.
  19. ive been told that road outside the docks should be pretty clear of construction by saturday, so its official Saturday at Midday. Beside the Odyssey. Opposite Harland and Wolf.
  20. unfortunatly my budget doesnt stretch to a WEPR manifold, YET so if i can afford to over the holidays, ill get my self some manifold tape and remove the heat shield and cover the standard Skanky manifold
  21. yeah the same location, or the general stretch of road anyway. I have just sent a text to joz to see if belfast suits, i know that he has to be back in kilkeel for 4 for work, and i myself have to be back in portadown for 3.
  22. nah it was steaming cause i had just washedd the car and the heat of the mani was drying the radiator out. surely the heat shield would reduce the heat even by just a little, hot air circulating around an engine cannot be a plus.
  23. i seen that heatshield. but it looks to be a slightly different shape to the ep91 one so i presume its off a different engine. at the minute i have my heatshield on but only untill i can get the money for the heatwrap
  24. indeed, he really does have one of the nicest ep91 non turbos about, and i have never got to meet him or see the car in person yet.
  25. ebay has the heat wrap stuff 2" by 25Foot is £25 quid and comes in red, blue, black, or natural colour
