why would you need one? thought gt was mechanically limited so if you convert the speedo the speed limit cut was at 180 mph? obviously correct me if im wrong, i have both fitted so cant be sure

sorry bud but im off, but all i can say quicly is it sounds like the balast itself dont have its own feeds, they dont like to earth out well, makes no odds if its wired up right the halogen one will light up, put the ballast feed and earth to the batt see what you get then mate

yea that would work fine mate, did the same to test mine but I've had no problems at all with mine, do the not just plug into the 3 pin on one side and wire across to the other side?
