i'm just waiting on a new manifold but i was just wondering if it could of been caused by something else and i can get that sorted when it goes into the garage.

had a good look around the inlet maifold couldnt see any splits or that. any other ideas or ideas where to look? today it stopped for abit and the idle was sitting fine then 5/10mins later it started to bounce about again.

any ideas guys?

I'm just wondering if any one could help. When I fire my Glanza up the idle sits at about 2k but after about a minuite or two it drops down to 1k but starts to bounce erratically between 1k n 2k. My manifold is cracked, is the blowing causing the idle to bounce or could it be something else? I hope someone could shed some light. Cheers

Thanks mate. I seemed to find the rattle about 2-3 weeks after i got the car. Thing was I always kept a good eye on the oil, but come the last 2-3 weeks the car was going through oil quite fast n was a case of topping it up also the knock sensor was rather high on the fc hand commander, it was due to get checked out this week, as i knew some thing was wrong.. but i didnt think it would of been as bad as it was Its totally my fault at the first piont of when the oil was playing up i should of got it checked out. lesson lernt............ the hard way

Q - Just spoke to a guy who is breaking a Glanza Auto. he has a 5efe engine.. well "4efte head, 70k and the 5efe bottom end 60k" im a bit mixed up to what this means?? will this drop in place in my 96 manual Glanza V. im getting it for a good price. please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone know if a 5efte engine would just drop right in, in place of my fu**ed 4efte engine?

just found out my con-rod snapped n blew two massive holes in my engine... bad news any one have a engine or know of anyone i could talk to?? Cheers

Ah i see. Ill find out on monday what has caused this to happen. The only issue ive had with the car is when i would semi throttle the car i was getting a rattle from the engine.. could this of been the problem? Cheers

Hey guys, Needing a bit...a lot of help and advice. I was driving home lastnight and boom went my engine, loads of metal, black smoke the lot from under my car. Got my car (96 EP91 Glanza V) to my dads friends garage today. They took one look at it and said my engine is fu**ed. So the issue is i'm now looking for a new engine, does a standard engine block from say a EP91 starlet n/a drop in? I'm not sure what to do or where to go?? Money isnt a big issue but on the other hand i dont want to be ripped off! any help would be gratefully appreciated. Cheers Rick
