Hi, Someone has taken a screwdriver or something to my Quad-lights passenger window I was wondering if anyone could help me. Is the glass in 1996 GT Turbo the same as any of the standard UK starlets or will i need to get glass from a breaking GT or imported glass? Do they have a specific part code? I got a quote for £275 from Autoglass! Which is just crazy! thanks.

I had one of the earlier GTI's more boxy than that and it was a quality car.

I'm just running a clean quad-light just with good leads, plugs and a blitz filter. I find with the starlet you can take most cars for the first little bit but then they reel you in. Its just so light and nimble. The r32 is heavy and if you dont have good clutch control you can easily lose a couple of car lengths just on the initial pull off.... I'm under no pretence that the r32 say 50-100 wouldnt kick my ass by the way and i'm not really into thrashing my car. I just like to zip up to the speed limit to humiliate boy racers then let them cruise by a few seconds after i level off. incidentally some guys in a boy-racered-to-the-max white honda civic tried it on last night. Not sure what they were running, but it had a big exhaust and loads of bodykit. It made a hell of a noise but just couldnt keep up. I'm having some serious front wheel spin issues. Think i'm going to have to invest in some good front tyres.....

nah was definitely an R32 with huge rims on it and it was two guys who were going for it. By the time i hit 50mph i was about 4 car lengths on them but then i was done for.....

I wasted a vdub r32 last night. He was really going for it but i 0-60'd much faster than him... Heavy German cars.......

I thought the exedy was supposed to be 35% stronger than the standard clutch? I dont suppose it really matters though. As long as there is no danger of gearbox damage??

Yeah i get a bit of that too in first gear. Once you are in motion its fine though. I just figured the turbo kicked out too much torque for the standard clutch. Was considering the Exedy upgrade.

I've been running around on it for a day now and i've just put it back to recirc. It definitely is less responsive venting out so the recirc must be doing some good. Possibly a proper atmospheric BOV with a harder spring would work better......

well thats a 2p with some rubber solution fitted. Seems ok. Its quite a soft sound you get off it , especially on normal gear changes. Maybe consider putting a hose on it so it vents outside the bonnet.. anyone done this?

I did consider this. A 2p with some silicon sealer? It would ne nice to have something a bit neater though.

IMA only do 20 and 25mm unfortunately. I don't suppose anyone else has any ideas? thanks

Hi, What are peoples opinions on a carbon bonnet on a black ep82? I know the black bonnet looks great on a red or white car but on a black car does it just look like a bad respray from a distance??
