Item For Sale:RC drift car with a S15 shell not in the best condition but have a unpainted/cut S13 shell which will come with the sale. Item Condition & Description: Used As stated S15 shell is not in the best condition out (doesn't have the spoiler anymore as pictured but I have a new one which came with the s13 shell which can be used. The connector to the battery can be a bit tempermental as well sometimes and the car cuts out but is fine most of the time. Car will come with controller and charger pack for the battery. Got the pistons out today and the rings and to say they were buggered is an understatement lol they should be going back in soon after a good clean up also honed the bores today looks like new now hopefully next weekend it will be all up and running

Hi Guys, Thought i would put up a progress thread. I bought the car back in may last year of my friend with suspected ring failure low and behold this was the case. I never really worked on it as I was always fixing my 106 rallye haha I finally sold that up and started this year on the starlet Here is a pic of the pug Last weekend me and a mate stripped down the engine ready to replace the rings this weekend Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I can get it back up and running and get it on the road. Current spec of the car is as follows Engine: Tongs CT9 hybrid HKS exhaust system Autobahn 88 downpipe Magnecor leads iridium plugs Walbro fuel pump FMIC HKS actuator HKS SSQV Emanage blue Blitz turbo timer Exterior wheels and brakes etc Rota grids with yoko parada spec 2's Tuning developments fast road brake kit TRS tow strap in green Interior Rear seats trims etc all stripped out Momo steering wheel TRS harnesses red Prosport gauges dash mounted boost oil temp and pressure More progress coming soon!

My starlet has being letting out blue smoke quite a lot so I've done a compression test today and the results were 170 120 170 170 could this be the piston rings? Thanks Brad

Reason for sale is to fund my new project which is nearly finished The car was bought back in 2010 needing a full restoration, the rebuild took 9 months to complete and was resprayed in standard bianca white. I have added a picture of what it started like to what it is now. The shell has covered 112000 engine was rebuilt about 2-2 1/2 years ago and has covered 20k since Current engine spec is as follows 1.6 8v S2 rallye engine converted to run R6 bike carbs with a dizzy setup. I had a manifold made up from bogg brothers and had the carbs cleaned and balanced at the same time. ITG carb filter socks Fuel pressure regulator Omex clubman rev limiter GMC motorsport 4-1 manifold pugsport 2" decat exhaust system piper cam fitted with a vernier pulley 1.1 106 gearbox fitted with a exedy stage 1 clutch. B&M quickshift Wheels and brakes Speedline comp2 alloys fitted with Falken ZE912 tyres. 206 gti 266mm front brake setup with ebc greenstuff pads still running drums on the rear. The car will need a new set of brake discs soon. The car has been lowered 30mm on the front and the rear axles has been adjusted to match. It has also got a OMP upper front adjustable strutbrace Car will come with the morettes fitted. The car otherwise is pretty much standard interior apart from a quaiffe nylon gear knob. Bad bits: The speedo doesnt work I have the cable and drive but dont have the rubber clip for the gearbox just never got round to sorting it. Other than that the car is pretty much mint I have a folder full of receipts for the car detailing what's been spent etc. The car has just been mote'd for a year and the tax runs out in August. It only started to idle high once it started smoking it would normally idle just over 1k. The smoke wasnt noticeable at all I was with my mate driving round and it started chucking it out when we pulled up at some lights Confusing one I know lol

My mistake sorry the car was originally rr when the ecu was fitted I was thinking about my other car doh tuning developments done the work couple of years ago

It was idling just under 2k after it happened. doesnt seem too bad under load. Current spec below Standard internals CT9 Hybrid Greddy emanage blue ecu magnecor leads turbo back exhaust fmic induction kit Thats all i can remember right now should be sitting around 180-200 at the min hasnt been on a rr yet. I cant remember if she has a fpr i will have to double check.

My starlet is a poorly car at the moment she has suspected piston ring failure and is chucking out black smoke from the exhaust on start up and when she is running. The turbo has been pulled off and there is oil in cylinder 4 all off the others were fine. Im going to compression test her when i get round to it. She wasn't down on power when it happened but just started chucking out smoke and still seems ok (I dont drive it for obvious reasons) I started to think that it could be valve stem seals? But more likely to be the rings. I know this has probably been asked tonnes before but has anybody had similar symtoms to the above? Many Thanks Brad
