had a whirl with the ones in my old box, chisel and a whack with the hammer jobs a good un , get the new one on tuesday and we will be cooking wi gas min

so there not all rubber theres metal ?, so its more than likely then metal i'm down to when scraping the rubber off...so put the pry bar on the inside of the box and pry them out rather than going from the outside trying to put up the lip ?

orderd one up £9.20 plus the VAT direct from toyota, will be tuesday before i get the bugger though , jsut hope the old one comes out easyer than on this other box i'll take a pic i cant quite belvie ho stuck in the fucker is

P.S Daniel its Ross maz's mate its your old gearbox ive got in...i know i should have replaced them but i thought i'd try my luck the passenger side is all good the drivers is drippy, box seems fine first and second anyways havent got any further than just up and down the street

ive got the knackerd box on the ground the now i'm sure its gluewd in on this box i mean literly i'm scraping round with a chisel and its jsut coming off in bits lol :|

for the oil seals :| ??, i can get the shaft out but its the oils seals that i may be having bother with , gona take it out and clean the seal and try walloping it back in it think see if it goes in any further , if not back out and pop the seal over from the old box me thinks

cars jsut had the gearbox done and banged it all back together came out to the car this morning and its leakingmy lovely new 13 quid castrol gear oil :| quick inspection points to drivers shaft it doesnt look fully clicked in i could be wrong though will pop a pic up how do u remove these as i have the old box sitting at the side of the car and i cant for the life see how they pop out

incdeed socks from what i read it can controll fueling ect ect...all replaced now and everything wired up and bled....except the driveshaft seal is leaking my 13 quid a liter gearbox oil, unsire if its clicked in properly though , anyone knowhow to take the seals out as will just use the ones out my old box?

got a new coolant temp sensor off an MR2 fits a beut...so eml is out now...bled the system again no over heating cools a little treat....thr blower for the fans dont work though as ive jsut noticed on hot or cold no fans atall anyone know the fuse number and were the location of the fusebox is bloody driveshaft oil seal is leaking on the drivers side also so going to check if shaft is in properly , apart from that its built and running well idling at around 750RPM ...slight hiccups on idle i'm guessing this is normal maybe a hiccup every minute or so just a light miss it sounds like

si there a guide or does any one know the location of a bleed nipple ?

the EML light is also on to ?...its wierd though as it was working before i drained the coolant and took the rad out is the a certain place i should fill the system up as it took about 20mm in the header over flow tank at the right hand side of the rad...i'm guessing there is no water in the engine but how can i get water in the engine if u know what i mean sure the thermostat couldent be gubbed

actually it does look liek its a coolant tempt sensor, but my car still is showing the temp on the gauge?

hi all jsut put my gearbox in and new manifold ect flushed the oil and new oil man problem is the thermostat isnt opening...the top pipe is'nt going hard and wont allow water into the rad i snapped this sensor but im woundering this cant be the coolant temp sensor because the temp gauge is working...is this why the thermostat aint opening...i thought thermostats worked with wax and it opened via heat?? here the snesor 19mm thing when pulled out has a little bronze thing that pokes into the engine 2 wire afair http://s252.photobucket.com/user/weddy1988/media/null_zps8cdf467d.jpg.html'>
