ok guys thanks for all your help, ill start checking things today tyre pressure is fine amjad there all the same thanks and as for oil im not sure what its running at the moment i dont think its high quality stuff but ive got some genuine toyota oil and filter on order.

Ok so this is not a great way to put it but im just wandering whats the common mpg on a standard 4EFE ? so far ive done no engine mods but it seems to be drinking fuel? it was on half and after a 30 mile trip it was on empty? i cant seem to understand it.

Ok so i finally got insured at the weekend, heres a quick shot of the car the other day (a day or two after a wash and polish and rain) it was taken on a phone sorry guys, anyways what would you guys recommend as a place to start? im leaving the exterior until last, im talking about engine wise, rolla mani, panel filter, exhaust? is it a noticable differnece?

i'm also intrested in this if anyone has answers? If not ill give it a shot

ahh yes tell me about it buddy, it was a mistake of mine but insurance crushed my hopes of getting an ep but atleast now i have one and will be insured next week hopefully! clear your inbox bro i was trying to send you a message the other day.

Ok this matter is confusing me so i am hoping someone could point me in the correct direction, im wanting to put 98 spec rear lights in my n/a maybe even red on red ones but im confused as to why everyone is talking about needing another loom for one side and the standard loom for the other side? what will i need to complete this task? i plan on wiring them JDM style. thanks guys and yeah amjad it was a members previous car just a few pictures of the interior today after i gave it a little clean through, i couldn't give the car a good wash or detailing due to the weather being crap all day :/ but tomorrow if the weather is good then i will be doing. sorry for the quality and size my camera wasn't charged when i came to use it so i had to use my ipod.

Ok so i finally got my first ep today and i'm more than happy with it! just what i was looking for and at a great price too. i purchased it from another member here so you may know it / have seen it. its a 97 starlet CD which has ticked just over 82,000 and has full service history also. here is how she looked when he purchased her, and here is how she stands at the moment (how i received the car), lowered 35/40mm (im not 100% sure) on spax, glanza 98 spec front seats, glanza 96 spec read seats, glanza 96 spec door cards, clear indicator lenses, side bump strips removed, tte rear spoiler, yaris black alloys rear reflet lights have been removed since the picture but be sure that ill be putting a set straight back in there! until i can get it insured within a month or two hopefully (fingers crossed) this will be a slow build but once ive paid off the insurance then i'll start the good stuff! engine and exterior wise! glanza rear and im not sure about the front maybe glanza with lip or maybe custom n/a. if the weather picks up a little tomorrow im gonna give her a good clean out and detailing and ill get a few pictures up after! what do you think?

Thanks guys so if i get a 98 or above uk spec starlet it will fit? And yeah if i change the bonnet and headlights which i plan on doing anyways and for 97 and below ill need adapters? Just to clarify

Ok guys just wandered is the 98 spec front a direct fit on all late models of the starlet? sr/sportif/gls 96 onwards? As i recall someone saying that they ended up woith large gaps around their headlights although i can't remember what spec front they were fitting?

Ok guys so im just wandering what sort of exhaust / induction kit combo should i go for on my n/a? im looking for a more of a performance increase than a powerful sounding setup although i do want a deep sounding system? ive noticed alot of people on their build threads have custom 2" - 2.5" stainless steel catback and a lets say a 3.5" backbox? but ive not really a huge clue in this area? and im not sure about either a panel filter or a cone with cold air feel? any thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks guys for the welcome ill ask a few small questions here to save posting all over the place, Other than the added extras on an sr (spoiler, backbox, alloys, e/w) is there much difference between an sr and sportif? Does the sportif have a rev counter? or at least provisions for a rev counter to be fitted say from a paseo or sr dash? and What sort of price am i looking at to insure a n/a sr or sportif (i'm 18, no ncb (apart from 1 year on a 125cc bike), passed my test july 22nd 2011 so about a year) i had a quote last october for an sr and it was if i remember £2700 but i attempted to do a quote the other day with the same company (adrian flux) but a year later and they told me £7990.00 thanks guys.

Hey guys i found out about this forum by word of mouth and from sites such as youtube i guess, my names matt and im from chesterfield, i have a huge love for starlets/glanzas and have wanted one for a long ass time, unfortunately due to insurance i ended up with a 3 pot 1.0 corsa as my first car and even then ended up getting rid of it and canceling insurance after just 6 months but now fortunately a year after passing my test ive just started a temporary summer job thats paying good and will hopefully last until august september time so im now on the look out for a cheap sr or sportif (until i can insure a glanza) to run/insure and modify in a way that i hope will somehow be unique but ive yet to decide on how it will be unique. anyways ive got a fair few questions to ask so i guess ill go over and start a topic in the technical section.
