sowerby Posted March 4, 2009 Share Posted March 4, 2009 Im having a nightmare with my car I fitted a hks actuator and crossed the pipe from turbo to actuator blanking the hi/lo thing. i set the boost to 0.8 took it for a spin flow over a bar so i turned it down took it out over a bar agen turned it down same thingdoesnt matter how far i turn it down still flys over a bar but the turbo comes in later need some help because its doin my head in... Glanza_cl Posted March 4, 2009 Share Posted March 4, 2009 sounds like the actuator isnt opening the wastgate so you have unlimited boost.was the actuator new?double check the pipe maybe take it off and put back on making sure it isnt loose.do you have a c or r clip holding the arm onto the turbo? Glanza_cl Posted March 5, 2009 Share Posted March 5, 2009 i have a ten mill bolt holding the arm on the turbo bought the actuator brand newwell then what i think might be happening is that when the actuator arm tries to open the wastgate when the arm moves back the bolt is hitting the turbo housing and preventing the actuator from opening the wastgate- causing unlimited boost or 1bar and fuel cut?find a C or R clip and that should solve the problem, or if the actuator only has the hole type end adapter i would advise sourcing the normal ep91 end with the C clip.hope that help mate Quote Link to post Share on other sites
