i know that ideally i should use an aftermarket ecu to run 1 bar on td04 but i was wondering if its still safe to run 1 bar using fcd and rrfpr, aslong as i get my fueling checked on the dyno ?

It's not ideal but run it nice and rich, say 3bar+ fuel pressure maybe and look for around a ratio of 10:1 on the rollers and it should be ok

can allways look for a cheap Apexi safc, or neo to lean of the rich patch in the middle of the boost curve.

erm seen a few used safc's for around £60-100 mark, just have to keep an eye out. here, tgtt, ebay etc

Neo are more expensive as there newer, but have the same fuel correction as an emanage i believe... 8-or 12 point, cant remember off the top of my head lol

kool, il keep an eye for them.

if i was to get it running 1 bar it would run very rich in the lower rpms, do you think that would damage then engine and cause bore wash maybe ?

shouldn't do, but thats why you would want the safc or neo to lean of the mid range. low range should be fine as they idle quire rich around 14:1, thing you dont want is it running low 11:1 by like 4k revs as that will make it quite boggy till boost comes in.

thanks for the advice mate. think i might take it on the rollers in a few weeks and get it on 1 bar then. will most probably take it to mike @ monster motorsport so should be in good hands

if i was to get an apexi safc, what else would i need apart from the main unit. do they have any harnesses, sensors? are they universal
