nordonian
I have a full stainless steel exhuast on my sr, with a bolt in cat/straight pipe. Ive taken the str8 piece out and put the cat back in ready for mot, But the car sounds completly shit and is far slower with it in.Ive heard that starlets can pass the emissions test with the cat out, can anyone tell me if this is DEFINATLY true, as if it fails im off the road and i NEED MY CAR
whitestarlet
i dont know mate. take it to a garage and get them to check the emmissions! and see what they are like. but i persionally would not risk it.
Spuddy
Heard only the GTs and Glanzas get by in emmisions tests cause they can't be bought over here so arn't rated prooperly, also why they get such cheap insurance.by the way i'm wasted so excuse the bad spelling and random crap! Sparky
Well even over here any car MUST have a cat fitted so over there its deffo gotta have one. If you got one to put on then may aswell as it dont take two minutes
nordonian
Well even over here any car MUST have a cat fitted so over there its deffo gotta have one. If you got one to put on then may aswell as it dont take two minutes the cats in now, just need to fit gaskets between both of the flanges to stop it blowing out a bit. Ive heard its essential on all 1994+ cars to have a cat. But i was told it shud pass without as it is low on emissions anyway
