thers not alot you can do relli apart from pay to get it fixed on the things it fails on (if it does) lol main things i checked when i got my glanza is when you turn up make sure the cars cold if its not then i wouldnt test drive it til it is as you wana be listening for any knocks or anything like that, check for oil leaks under the car or in the engine bay, when i went to see mine i got my boyfriend to take it out first so i could see if ther was any smoke cuming from the exhaust if ther is i wouldnt get it. you could always take a compression test with you and do one on the car to be safe :)

well yer obviously the v5, mot papers if hes kept them and obv if its still got mot on it u want the mot paper, mine didnt come with any service history apart from a couple of receipts as the kid was an idiot! but all depends what the persons like your buying it from and if theyve kept paperwork or not, id do an h.p.i. check on it to, and a logbook is a v5 mate lol

main things to check on is when driving check its boosting properly and holding the boost. then you know the turbos ok. also check theres no smoking when its cold that will tell you things like the stem seals are fine piston rings etc. check its not smoking on boost. again shows a healthy turbo

Full lock it both ways and do a circle. listen out for knocking which will tell you driveshafts are naff

check the engine bay for signs of leaks/cracked pipes etc and also check the oil for signs of water ( broken headgasket)

then just have a general check round

your engineer should look out for all these anyway

good luck dude
