Which Intercooler?

Hey looking for abit of guidance and wanted to know what intercooler size every one else is using for a hybrid??

I recently have fitted an intercooler with a corn size off 600MMx260MMx70MM and experiencing turbo lag upto 3.5k revs is this normal for this size?

If not ive been looking at getting a smaller size intercooler 550mmx140mmx65 would this be a better option?

any opinion welcome jus rather confused as when looking at big makes like HDI, Greddy they all use large size intercoolers

No this is on a hybrid ct9, do you have any recommendations for size intercooler to run 1 bar?

what hybrid ct9 is it and do you have an electronic boost controller?

I have no boost controller just an adjustable hks actautor, the turbo is made from a ct9-b, with the waste gate ported and the compressor housing and wheel of a speed vision hybrid.

you will find that your intercooler isnt really the issue but the hybrid.

to get the best boost responce charicteristics from the turbo you really need to invest in an ebc.

an ebc controlls the waistgate flap alot more effectivly than a hks actuater,

you will notice less lag by fitting one Troy

Okay i shall give it a go.

I thought was something to do with the intercooler as it was fine before i changed it from the stock.

Is there any other means of reducing it before i splash out on a ebc??

not really, its the much larger comp wheel/ comp housing causing your extra lag,

unfotuanetly it wont be lag free like the standard ct9b

but the ebc goes someway to solvin your lag issues.

Enzo has given some proper sound advice mate, but also when you say 'Lag' how much we talking about?

moving from the stock tmic to a fmic there is going to be a slight change as the pipe route is alot longer. full boost should come in by 3.5k... my hybrid was producing full boost before 3.5k but as Enzo said an EBC helps loooads!! can bring up the gain, control the wastage much more efficiently and you wont believe the difference with one fitted over just an actuator! boost wont drop of as much with an EBC either

owww never mind looks like a ebc will be next on my list then.
