Help fitting japspeed exhaust

I am trying to fit my exhaust system onto my ep91 and the back box brackets have a plate welded over the top which means its not fitting, the exhaust arrived like this brand new.

Any help for fitting this can I just cut the plate off?

no dont cut it off, your old exhaust should have a rubber mount that fits in the rectangular hole at the top, take it off and put it on your new exhaust

I found this out soon after I posted this. My current exhaust is a custom one so has the 2 individual hangers I didn't realise the new one was the standard fitment!

I've just put the same system on my glanza its a piece of piss to fit, wd40 & a screw driver works a treat putting the rear rubber in the hanger.sounds fantastic wen the insert is removed from b/box

Mine was the same as yours, custom exhaust had two seperate bushes.

What you need is a standard bush/rubber from Toyota. Same as below - hope this helps;
