Just lowered the back of my car.

I moved it all the way down so all the adjusting ring things are touching each other, i did not fiddle with the spring pre-load.

Now when going over bumps its making a clicking noise as if the rings are banging against each other. Or the wheels are touching somewhere? but i have seen lower starlets. I also stiffened the rear end so it doesn't try to smooth bumps and cause the tyre to rub.

Are the rings ok touching each other or should there be a gap between the height adjustment and the spring pre-load rings?

ok, i just came back from raising it. I moved up about a 2mm so now there is a gap (of 2mm) between the spring pre-load ring and the height adjustment ring on either side. It doesn't make the noise as much but it still does it a fair bit. Whats going on? Is it scraping somewhere?
