Mikey Jay
Bump stops....what are bump stops? Are they actually exactly what they sound like they'll be or something more?
ecksjay
bump stops are what you'll hit if you going over a massive bump and compress the shock/spring to its max ;)if you do that alot, with lowered springs, the stock shocks wont last long
Mikey Jay
That might be what have gone on my car as get awful crunch noises every time I go over speed bumps(go over them slowly -> bout 15-20mph before people accuse me of going over them too fast)
Jozinobi
15-20mph aint slow enough mateTry 2-3... ;) Joz
Mikey Jay
But people get angry at you if you do that, buses go faster over bumps than that ;)
Jozinobi
But people get angry at you if you do that, buses go faster over bumps than that ;)F**k em if you love your car I have to do it mate lolyour package sending in 1 hour Joz

Sparky
Yea they are the right ones and thats a damn good price!!! 15-20mph aint bad over speed humps in a standard car (was told om my test to go over them between 12-15mph) but i wouldnt take my car over one at more than 3-5mph ;)
ecksjay
someones selling some ventura springs over on tgtt for £60 ;)
Mikey Jay
My instructor told me 20mph was fine for speed bumpsSo just doing what was told ;)
Tommy_G
i was told ventura springs were rubbish?! and ill get the bump stops. and P.Is are apparently quite good, so ill go with them.
ecksjay
ventura are no better/worse than P.I, plus they lower more AFAIK.mikey - thats fine and dandy in a stock car, but try doing it in something reasonably firm/lowered and it'll knock your spine out the top of your skull ;)
Mikey Jay
Riteo ecks, shall remember that if I do anything much suspension wise to the car.
Tommy_G
40mm is max for me!...specially on 15s.ill go for P.I but thanks for the info ecks.shud look loads better...in a short while, ill keep you informed
ecksjay
depends on the firmness of the shocks/springs, but if they're reasonable firm then you'll wanna go as slow as you can, otherwise it feels like you're bending alloys/or other parts of the car ;)reason i suggested the ventura mate is because mine is on P.I's, and they aint the best of springs if i'm honest (but i do have Tanabe Sustec Shocks with em).
