identifying a forged engine?

Hey eveyone i know this may be a stupid question but is there any way of telling if an engine is forged without stripping the engine down or if there isnt any history with the engine?

well if he has reciepts thats usually a good sign other than that youd have to whip the sump off and have a look at the rods

reciepts mean nothing in my eyes, sump would definatly be coming off before i handed over the dosh

I have a fully forged engine for sale, no reciepts as such. But have pics of the build up from a reputable member and can whip the sump off if you wish
