birdmandan Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 4x100 and isnt it 35-40 offest? :/if not i aplogise Dan Quote
Idrees Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Anywhere between 35-40 will be finePCD has to be 4x100 or they won't go on the hubs Quote
Raffi Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 Offset depends in the width of the wheels. 7" wide wheels ET38 catch on inner fenders when you make a u-turn.I would recommend something like 6,5" width and ET35-38 Quote
jham Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 sorry to bring back a dead thread just offsets and what not confuse the hell out of me!is 7" as wide as you can go, as wanting 8" to do some tyre stretching, is there any issues with putting 8" on the rear with ET35-40?any infor would be great! Quote
Raffi Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 With an 8" wide wheel, you need to go around 25-30 offset wise.I drive on 9" wide wheels with offset of 25mm. Quote
jham Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 so i shouldnt have any trouble on front and back with 8" around 25-30 offset, i wont have to use any sort of spacers or anything like that?im a comkplete noob with offsets never actualy bought any alloys before ha Quote

And maybe problems with U-turns. Rubbing on the inside. Quote
jham Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 ah i was hoping not to have to do any arch work, might just gor for 7" then, whats the deal with tyre stretching is it just a case of buying tyres a size to small for the wheels then finding a place to stretch them on? Quote
Ralph1 Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 I have 6.5inch rims with 195 tyres on them, offset I am not sure about as I bought them second hand, what would be a good offset to bring them in closer to the centre and away from rubbing on the guard. When it is lowered more I want to make sure there is no scrubbing. Also I might be looking at new rims, so I wanna get the offset right.cheersralph Quote
Ralph1 Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 As per my above post, with 6.5" wide wheels will 40 make them fit right under the lip when it's lowered? Or will I need to go with 45?cheersralph Quote
