bolt on brake upgrade question st185/levin ae111

Recommended Posts

I'm wondering a lot of people have done st185 conversions using the single pot calipers with carriers some have gone for the astra 1.7 cdti disc. but i have a question for those who have done the conversions, which is better single pot or twin pot, if thats the choice also if you opted for a disc which one would it be:

(please not links are just for dimension sizes that are written)

now for the question im trying to ask is there a way of doing a twin pot conversion using any of the above disc's which wont need spacers ?

as for the st185 you dont need spacers all you do is use the astra 1.7 cdti discs which has been tryed and tested all you need to do is get a spigot ring made to reduce the center bore of the vauxhall disc from 60mm to 54mm and it all bolts on.
