Whitegv
i spent 160 quid this week on some new bits that would hopefully stop the knocking thats coming from the front drivers side,i bought new drop links and poly bushes, new lower ball joints, new track rod ends, and a pillowball mount form the d2s that was suspected to be the cause. now the car does feel a million times better, alot tighter and it feels completely different to drive in a good way, but the knocking is still there.now this has got alot worse recently, to the point now where i can feel the vibrations of the each knock coming through the floor pan. you dont need to be a genius to work out that somethings wrong.theres no play from the wheel bearings that i can feel and the wishbone bushes all look ok. can anyone think what else it can be?cv joint i dont know becuase it knocks all the time, although more when turning left ie putting weight on the side that seems to be the problem.im not a millionaire at the mo and getting the bits above had about cleared me out till the end of the month, so looks like its overdraft time again. whats the likelyhood of the following, cv joints (inner or outer?), wheel bearings (even though there is no play) or the full coilover on that side being completely foookkedd? might help to add that that side took quite a nast knock a few months back, which was all sorted out at the time, but now the kncoking as started.help me please its driving me insane and obv not doing the car any good at all. k1r4n
is the knocking occurring when the car's suspension has to travel or is it a rotational knocking?
