wideband help

Recommended Posts

Wideband just turned up seems pretty straight forward to fit although I need to ask which colour wires go where as I cant remember.

Red is obviously 12v live

Black is ground

Orange- Ignition live????

White- Illumination?????

There is also another plug which goes into the control unit with a green, brown and black wire any idea what this is for?

Also when calibrating it does the car need to be upto temperature and running?

Thanks Lewis

According to the poor instructions the other loom with the green black and brown wires are as follows:

Black is ground

Brown is Wideband analog output 0v-5v

Green is Narrow band analog output 0v-1v

Do I need to wire in the narrowband wire? And what pins do these go on the ECU?

Glad you sorted it mate

What make is it? I've just installed my aem one, was pretty straight forward as I only used the live and ground as I won't be using it for data logging

Can I pick your brains a bit, do the AEM ones need calibrating?

No, just fit it and away you go, self calibrating apparently. 99% sure anyway, I'll check my instructions cause it tells you how to calibrate it for one reason or another! I'll get back to you!
