does anyone know how to fit a manual boost adjuster and boost gauge

You cant run higher boost on the standard manifold without taking out the restriction on it, you will damage a piston if you do, either cut it out or buy an aftermarket mani.

Also if you run higher boost you need to have the correctly fueling mods, or again you will hit fuel cut and damage the engine

Basically dont fuck around with it unless you have put the mods on :) especially the actuator!

would it be safe to run high boost levels with a standard manifold is it ture that it needs to be ported
