Blitz
so this is the last mod to my glanza because i brought them before deciding to stop, according to the last map, i got 175bhp on hybrid and everything which i thought was low, anyway i ve now got 650cc injectors walbro pump and removing a/c but reading other peoples mod lists everyone seems to be getting lie 200bhp and the only difference i can see is the front mount filter but does it really make that much difference? james@cjperformance
Will make a nice different to your intake temps but highly doubt it will make 30bhp difference, what hybrid and management are you using and who mapped it?
ollie ryan
you going to be running 650cc injectors?seems abit pointless to be honest
Blitz
yeah well there was only £20 difference i thought if i ever break it chances are more would want the 650cc than 550's "/and think its like the tmd stage one onr 2 but i was like socks ran 200bhp on a standard ct9 and im running a power fc my friend at GBH motorsports mapped it they re well known round my way
Jozinobi
I've just done the mod mate (thanks to Jays Garage) and it will make you reach positive boost a fair bit quicker. The sound/ intake/turbo spool/noise is much louder which is usually muffled by the efi pipe. You will get addicted to it and it does promote chatter which I have found.Whereas with oem filter setup boost tails off at 6k, with the filter mounted in front of the rad it keeps going. You will lose a small degree of torque lower down but it more than makes up for it in mid-top end acceleration.I will need a remap tweak for my emanage because it now dets a little around 1.1 bar (CT9b just wants to boost and boost, + I have my blitz ebc set right down under a bar.It is ramming a lot more air in there as it is in such a direct air feed location, also the oem setup air intake location is so crap.I have also found less mpg but this is with full boost and no remap, and a fresh engine still breaking in = uses more oil (under 4k) + walbro pump which I believe is more fuel hungry. You will be driving a lot more on boost too as it is so easy to spool. The oem setup is restrictive with all its bends and nooks but does give slightly more lower torque and its quieter. For anything where you want more power up top and to rev more freely, front mount filter is the way.Im using Dean@RWDevelopments kit and it is great value for money and so far, performance. It was a tight fit for me and I had to modify the pipe a little but its in there and working well (airtight too)The only guaranteed way you will know if it works for your setup, is to try it. Its inexpensive to do so, and if its the last thing you are going to do to your hybrid/ct9 I highly recommend you try it especially as you have a bit more torque/power output to play with. Results will also be independent on a good map or fuel setup, remember that. 650cc injectors are surely way too big if you are still running a hybrid, or is it a TD04 now?Nothing to lose and if you dont like it, return to efi pipe and original airbox. There will always be benefits and drawbacks whatever you do to the car so its a gamble worth taking. In my opinion the car now revs how it should do, and that is without restriction under boost = its shifts Off boost is actually not too bad, not that you will be driving much under it.The only reason Im not boosting right now is my no.plate fell off and have to wait til Monday for the stickypads lol!Hope this helps.Joz

Blitz
The 650cc injectors don't have to be run at capacity tho do they???? And I have the hks one atm that sits in the same place as the standard filter And yes thank you joz this has helped a lot (Y)
Raz
I made the relocation kit myself using standard efi pipe. With help from a friend.
Blitz
it will be mapped after fiting so that shouldnt be a problem
