Glanza_Ragger Posted April 21, 2007 Share Posted April 21, 2007 blue smoke, maybe piston rings on the go mate.does it smoke on idle constantly ?does it smoke on boost?does it smoke when you put the throttle on? or smoke as the throttles let off mate ?could be a number of things.valve stem seals, turbo seals going etc ;) more info and we should help mate.does it smell of fuel or oil ? Glanza_Ragger Posted April 22, 2007 Share Posted April 22, 2007 argh if it puffs out smoke on vacum it could be the valvestems..find a garage that will do a compression test on your engine. make sure to get the results figures when its complete, and post up here. you could allways leave it untill it gets worse, but puffs of smoke on boost/on vacum is normally the above.if its not majorly smoking, id say leave it, as it'll be more hassle than its worth. all starlets smoke a certain amount, its just how the oil breather system works.but if your worried, get a compression test done as i said. get the % figures posted up if you do ;) Quote Link to post Share on other sites
