Turbo Goose Posted March 11, 2012 Share Posted March 11, 2012 I am currently on an apprenticeship where I use lathes and milling machines, its got to that time now where I finished most of my set work so college are happy for us to bring in our own projects any time.So, I am going to have a blast at smoothing a rocker with a milling machine. Going to have a go with a carbide tipped cutter by setting the rocker cover at an angle so the bit that needs milling sits flat. Then just wet and dry it til it looks nice.My local has a starlet breaking so hoping to pick up the rocker cover off it for a few quid to have a blast with.I'll let you know how I get onHow does everyone else smoth their rocker covers out of interest?
