white-gt Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 i know its been discussed a lot but can someone confirm how to lower boost on a mbc? is it screw in or screw out..??mine is an R-spec.. Quote
A L 3 X Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Is it one of those bleed valveanual boost controllers? If so and it's the same as mine, when you open it and it bleeds, that's upping the boost Quote
white-gt Posted July 20, 2012 Author Posted July 20, 2012 tbh i have no idea what it is... it was Dastek that put it on, all i see is its a dastek.. though it possibly is as you describe..thanks buddy Quote
A L 3 X Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 Ah I see, well yeah try that, if not try it the other way if you've got a gauge you'll easily tell, however I'm pretty sure it's as I described... Quote
white-gt Posted July 20, 2012 Author Posted July 20, 2012 yeh ive got a guage. the problem is i think my actuator is set to 1 bar which i'll need to adjust also.im just wanting to lower it slightly to help with the creep. Quote
zebedee Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 A boost controller cannot lower the boost pressure below what the wastegate is set to, remove it complety and see what your boosting to then if it's still too high adjust the actuator to suit. If it goes to low put it back in then bring the boost down to the desired level. Quote
white-gt Posted July 24, 2012 Author Posted July 24, 2012 It seems to be screw out for less boost but still creeps when the revs get to about 5... Quote
Mikep82 Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 @ zebedeeNot tru... i got a hks actuator set on its highest setting and with my ebc i can set it to min. 0,3bar boost ;) Quote
