Mikey Jay Posted August 29, 2007 Share Posted August 29, 2007 Right, my car is gay.Went to unlock it this morning and nope, the keyfob won't work.Well, the red light on the fob flashes to let you know you're pressing the button, but nothing happens.So, go to unlock the door with the key and the alarm goes off, then doesn't stop till about 30 seconds later. This is all fair enough, but the annoying thing is, when I got to work and opened my door to get out of the car, the alarm went off again!!Even when unlocked now, my car alarm will go off whenever a door is opened.Is annoying, and earlier was accused by a passer-by of trying to steal my own car!!Went to open the key fob when I got home to see if I could change the battery, but the screw was uber tight and in my attempts to undo it, I rounded it off, so ended up having to snap the key fob open, only to find the battery is a different type to what I thought it was.Sooo, I can't use my car without the alarm going off whenever I get both in AND out of the car. Which did the trick luckily.Think I might start locking the car with the key though in future (well, when out and about anyhoos) to save embarressment if it goes Pete Tong again Cheers for the help though guys Quote Link to post Share on other sites
