Fuel gauge shot up to F!

Hi guys!

I drive a 4-door EP91.

I have added half a can of octane booster in my half-full fuel tank today, followed by a visit to a workshop to get new LED bulbs for the dials. After re-installing the instrument panel, fuel gauge has shot up to F, although my tank is half empty. Can't figure out what went wrong! Is it the octane booster or is it the fuel gauge?

Any help/advice/tips would be greatly appreciated.
