Over Revving?

Alright guys, just a quick question my glanza sometimes revs up and its on when im driving along and doesnt stop til the car is turned off, wondered if anyone would know why?

was thinking its the throttle boddies and just cleaning them, whats the best stuff for that if so?

sounds like the throttle is jamming, the car uses a throttle body which i mechanical, so the only way the car can rev up is if the plenum inside is open (which opens and closes when you do the throttle). Check your throttle cable isnt too tight, or sticking

I had a similar issue. I'd check for a vac leak if its jumping about a lot, Or as you said give the tb a clean out with some carb cleaner cause the butterfly may be getting stuck open.

Cheers guys i ckeck it all and see what happens, yeah it does jump and also its crunches going into and down into 3rd alot and just 3rd gear, any idea why?

Mine did this a loose plug was wedging the peddle near redline, you'll knowwhat I mean when u see how the peddle hinges

The throttle cable on mine and the spring had got real dry, re-oiled and then cable tied the cable up a bit and seems to have solved it!
