Rear brake pad clips

Recommended Posts

Wierd mate the clips are there to prevent them rattling but ive never actually experienced any that do rattle.

Did you wind out the caliper till the disk was slightly sticky?

Pads at the rear when the set up has the handbrake on the caliper should hold the pads in tighly enough to prevent them rattling also copius amounts of copper grease helps.

I had a siezed rear caliper but replaced it and the new caliper had no clips and didn't realise at the time.

The pads only rattle at low speeds but if I put my handbrake on 2 clicks it stops the rattling but it's obviously braking the rear wheels. The pads stop rattling as as soon as I touch the brakes.

It's only on the side I replaced the caliper and have no idea where I put the clips as there not in the old caliper.
