Uprated Inlet Manifold Help

Recommended Posts

I have recently purchased a Zisco custom inlet but with the larger throttle body. I have done a bit of research on here on fitting tutorials and problems and wondered how people go around them?

Mainly i would like to know what vacuum fittings did people wire into the inlet?

How did you overcome the way the inlet gets in the way of one of the coolant hoses?

Do you need to fit the Throttle Position Sensor?

Any help and pictures if possible would be much appreciated!

Afternoon Wardy...

The most important word you said in the above statement was "custom". Since you now how have a custom intake manifold with a bigger throttle body... you will now no doubt need to have make everything around it custom.

You will need to:

1. Have the tps sensor attached to the new new throttle body and setup right (how else will the ecu know what the tb is doing)

2. Vacuum lines... no biggy; plumb everything back on except any lines that were originally plumbed to the oem throttle body (they can go in the bin, including the canister)

3. Coolant hoses... throw oem rubber hoses in the bin. Buy some nice new silicone hose, they are nice'n'flexible and will fit perfectly once cut to length... I believe mine were 16mm off thr top of my head.

4. Because I know your gonna ask... idle control valve...?

I have also purchased a race tech inlet manifold and removed oem inlet

I don't need to mess about this coolant hose and my inlet misses coolant pipes

there's a couple of vacuums that came off the engine it self are they still needed?

One goes to the pipe next to coolant hose to the engine and second comes from the water pump pipe I believe and is that vacuum needed or can I just put the pipe from water pipe onto where another pipe was that went to inlet if you get me

Any ideas

Thanks
