Gauge electrical problem

This is my temp gauge works fine when the ignition is on but when the car is started it flickers on and off and doesn't read. Any ideas I've wired the boost gauge in and its fine these are temp gauges so want the wiring to work before I get better gauges

Any ideas I used the ignition live from the CD player

I have, the earth is fine using the same earth as the boost gauge which works no problem :s

The ignition your using, it's definitely giving the gauage a good connection.

I would rewire both neg/pos

If that fails, potentially a faulty gauge. Short it on the battery and see if it stays on constantly and doesn't flicker.
