Basically...

When dizzy not in camshaft and spun by hand a spark and rpm signal is created

Bolt the dizzy in the engine and you get nothing, not rpm cracking signal or spark

Any ideas

Are u using the dizzy for trigger, what version of megasquirt are u using.

Yes 24-1 ms2version 3

I haven't used ms at all, could it be the adjustment in the ecu for the throttle pots??

Does the ms have 2 vr outputs, one is for NE and the other is for the G sensor inside the dizzy, remember the dizzy rotates at half the crank speed so it takes 2 rorations for a full cycle, setting must be correct for this in tuner studieos.

No bother, was it on the car or did u just install it, there is some configuring depending on trigger choice, with the 24-1 u surely need 2 vr sensors in your ms, i only have the one in mine its a 1v3.57 thats why am using a crank trigger wheel.
