forged engine first oil change

I forged my engine and ive done 660 miles since and two oil changes but I'm not fully 100% if i should change my oil now and fit on my wepr kit or wait till ive done 1000miles and then.

anybody on here that can give me advice on what to do and when to.

The wepr kit will be running .5 bar so low on boost.

It never hurts to give oil changes epically after a rebuild or forging, extra care never hurt anybody lol as for the wepr kit..... Is the car all mapped up and running sweet? If it is I'd personally wait til you can afford to have it mapped again with the new kit fitted for peice of mind ( that's just my personal opinion though )

If you have run it in on running oil you should be fine to put normsl oil in and away you go

I used 15w 40 mineral oil.

what oil do you recommend me to use?

10w40 semi?

No its not mapped its running on stock setup.

cant i just put the wepr kit on and not rev high until i get my ecu and map sorted?

Its a top mount wepr td04.

I use millers cfs 10/40 but will be changing to 10/60

Don't be shy, mines going for a map from fresh tomorrow, 2 oil changes after 250 miles then once more after that. Good to go.

Depends how you've run it in, I wouldn't be changing from mineral oil till around the 1500 mile mark.

I did write a little piece on running in engines and oil change schedules, I'll see if I can find it.
