Jozinobi
Hi mateTo cut a long story short, everything you want to know is in our extensive Technical Section N/A Engine Section<Click Here Everything that has ever been asked is in there especially the jdm manifold question!I understand you are new to the site, it would be best to have a better look around the site to get a feel for things. Please post in Technical Discussions if you have anything technical to ask about your car (check that it hasnt been covered already), not in General.EnjoyJoz

Guest Enzo
very expensive and with what you spend on that you could do a 5efe conversion for that budstick with the rola manifold its the best cheap mod, totaly transforms the charicteristics of the engien bud
Christian
do you think a garage would do the rolla manifold for me ? if i were to be getting it done that is or is that a custom job ?
Guest Enzo
ive lost you, it would be just a case of finding one in a breakers yard as it came off the 4efe bug eyed corrolla then fitting it,ltakes about half an hour to do if your compitent wi tools
Guest Enzo
a wee bit you could shear a bolt but im sure a garage would do it for £40quid
Jozinobi
Its a very popular and worthwhile mod mate, there is not much to go wrong if you install it properly and that your car is running well regularly. Its not difficult to install and a lot of people have self installed with no problems. It can be found in scrapyards with a top price of £50, £40 is the lowest you would find, the rest of the info is in the n/a technical section as this has been asked so often, please look there. The 4efe is quite basic so there is not a real need to expect too much from it mate, real tuning would make sense if you convert to the 1.3 4efte engine or another performance engine where the power/performance is there in the first place to be taken advantage of/tuned, whereas the 4efe is an economy based engine. That would of course cost some money so please work with what your budget will allow. The 5efe (1.5) engine is a straight swap and makes the starlet much more driveable. The 5efhe is the japanese performance version of the 5efe and comes with high lift cams, high compressions rods and pistons and is mapped for higher ron jap fuel, it has wiring issues tho.All this info on the engines and manifold can be found in the link provided earlier, please make more of an effort as there is so much info already there just waiting for you.Joz
