AUTO transmission... separate cooler/heater

I'm wanting to get a half rad as when doing work around the turbo there is limited space.

Removing the rad for turbo work is dogey as you have to remove transmission fluid line from it.

Would like to have a separate rad/cooler for the transmission.

Is it just a cooler ? I've heard you don't want the tranny fluid too cold either so bit para about porting it somewhere else but would be hand considering the annoyance when taking rad out and loosing fluid and possibly getting air in it
