My new diesel daily.. Mondeo 2010 tdci 2.0 ( I know it aibt a starbo, but you guys have helped me out tonnes before! ) basic clay when I start it in mornings from cold it idles rough but then soon after a couple of blips it clears up... Any ideas??

I flushed and replaced the cooling system and ran it up and didn't loose no coolant. Just very odd as it took ages. My missus took it out for a drive and it went up to around half ( normal ).

I recently did a headgasket and cambelt change on my daily and changed the coolant. Now, it takes a while to get up to temp and when it does, it stays just above a quarter. I bled the system and it can through the bleed points aswel. Got tonnes if good heat through the heaters..

My radio doesn't seem to wanna play ball. It's basically switching on and off when you press the on button. It does take a few presses of the button to make it turn on but when it does, it does the above. I did by pass the 12v wire which is the one for when the car is running and it worked but I couldn't find a ignition live to use without that circuit being affected. Any ideas? It worked fine until one day it started. I checked fuses, wires and changed the unitt

My alarm ain't working on my car but the lights still flash when I open the car.. "/ where could I look to see if the buzzer/alarm itself is working I've checked fuses and that. My central locking don't work it moment due to my pump not working and requiring replacement.

Also, when I took the head off abit if oil seeped down into the jackets how do I get that out? Not a lot but there's enough in there to make it a bit oily. Should I just reassemble and flush it several times?

Hi all, took a head off my in laws car after the belt snapped. The engine just spun when you turned the key. I've attached some photos to ask fir some advice.. The valves did hit the pistons. Not by much, but they hit.

Hi all, my in laws saxo recently snapped most of its teeth and died. The recovery told me that it had snapped but obviously as I said it didn't. However there is no compression on 2 & 3 but the belts still connected with plenty of teeth left and it still turns over. So, I'm thinking did it actually smash valves or what cause surely it should have locked up.

So I suppose if your listening work your way in and tightening work to your way out in a spiral? So losingening, your start at the corner then other corner?... Help :/

Is there actually a headbolt sequence for removing them? Off the top of my head I'm not sure.. Anyone happen to the sequence for a Saxo head ( he asks on a Toyota forum ) just it's not my car, but my in laws )

My radio completely does every once and a while and u found that it was a dodgy wire going into the radio, however I still don't know what was causing it do this, but anyways I decided to snip it going from the plug and feed a Infiniti live straight into and bypass the dodgy wire. Anywhere inside the car which is a decent ignition live ?

Out of curiosity If for example I wasn't changing belt etc. how would just that main bolt nudge the timing if there's other 3 there?

Oh thank giblets for that... I was like, il check online and they were like " don't do it!!! " I was like " s&£@, I have ! " il just bang it back up and undo the other 3.. Cheers for clarifying it. I didn't think it would cause harm if I'm taking the whole lot off..

The thing is mate the cambelt has snapped and I'm taking it all off to replace the belt and check the head.. I didn't remove the bolt, I only ska hens it.. What's the worst that could happen just removing that bolt? Nothing I'm thinking?

I was removing bottom pulley on my Saxo to remove it and u thought the center bolt out but I've been told its only the three you need to undo.. The big center bolt has cone loose so what in asking is can I just wind it back in and undo the other three? I've just heard that that bolt doesn't undo..
