C'mon then Enzo.. wheres yer bloomin input! Need to know what i can do to make it run better! Is it worthy? well.. in my opinion if what you want is to get more torque and faster acceleration.. then yeah.. ive noticed a difference that way.. in 3rd 4th and 5th.. but, 6th is much the same though.. dont get any benifit.. but, theres more pull on 5th if your wanting to overtake etc etc.. What i want to do though, is change the final drive.. i reckon if i got a better final drive, rather than the 1.6 from a corolla, then it would be a lot better. But, i wouldn't all go out rushing to get a 6 speed box cause its not that much better.. but, ill play with it, and see what i can do, and post up a soloution for ya all;) well.. with enzo's help hopefully! lol Right.. so, get reading this Enzo! or anyone else that might know? What other BIGGER engines go into starlets? i mean without to much hassle.. whats wrong with the 3sge engine? CK

right then! Its in.. i finally got the part from toyota.. and to be honest.. i dont know whether im happy with it or not; heres why. The reason i wanted it was so that it would be like an extra gear.. like Blue Icarian Wings said, Instead what it seems like ive got is 6 gears crammed in to what the 5 gears was on the original.. Instead of sitting lower on the motorway.. it sits 100rpm higher in 6th gear.. so its a load of pish that way for me, as what i wanted was 5 normal gears and a 6th gear miles out so that it would save on fuel eccon! It does go a lot faster in the lower gears though.. gets to 70 in no time atall now... dare i go any faster cause a piston will go through the engine ffs:( So.. my next party peice is gonna be a final drive i reckon.. Where do i go about finding what final drives will go in my gearbox ( the 6 speed one ) I reckon if i change that.. then it would be workin real good.... Was also lookin at bigger engine.. the 3sge engine.. 2.016v NON TURBO... would it fit? and where do i go finding out that sorta information.. Also.. the 6 speed box.. could i use that in the 3sge engine with a 2.0 bell housing...? who knows.. i gotta find out:P Cheers all !! CK

So.. Im putting in my 6 speed box.. everything was going great, got the old one out in a matter of hours ( not bad considering i've never done anything like this big myself before ) got the new one in the next day after swapping the drive shafts etc over to the new gearbox.. and im playing about with the linkage cables getting them back up and connecting but, then, theres a problem.. there was something stoping it gettin into the bottom half of the gear selections on the gear lever ( 2nd, 4th, 6th ) But however, i remembered that this was most likely to be cause by me breaking one of the cables. So, What do you do first, Scrap yards? Breakers? or Local garages that might have or get in stock? Well.. theres no Starlets in any of the scrap yards near me... so, ballocks I Went to the local garage and they said get to toyota ( Basically ) So off i toddles up to Toyota garage and they dont stock the part, however they said it would be in for tomorrow ( Saturday - meaning, next day delivary ), So im thinking.. thats ace.. ill get that tomorrow.. and that will be me done with my gearbox, ready to rip up the road again... So.. i nips off up on the Saturday to get my new linkage cable.. all excited.. like a kid again.. and they had ordered in the wrong one.. ( theres 2.. one to make the gearstick move, up and down.. and the other one to move it left to right, i need the up and down one (connects directly under the lever-not to the side)) I Accepted their appoligy and because it was a Saturday.. they dont take orders on a Saturday, Sunday they are closed so the order would be placed on Monday and i should pick it up today ( Tuesday ) Instead of just driving up there i thought id just phone them.. and just as well.. I Said to the guy i was just wanting to make sure that the cable was in for me to come and pick it up and he said to me, actually.. no its not, your the guy that was in last week and we got the wrong part? I said yes.. then he blabbers on about the part numbers on the sheet or whatever.. and he says he was checking his emails or whatever to see what was happening with my cable that i needed but to no avail. He said what he would do for me is order both parts in, let me pick the one it was i needed and then send the other one back.. now, thats a smashing idea... but why wait till Tuesday for me to phone up and ask whats happening, when he knew he had the wrong part sitting there on monday, and could have just ordered them both in on Monday, Therefor me then having the correct cable.. in my car.. and driving about today. Anyway.. I get my cable tomorrow... apparently. Rant over CK

Well... Could i? Few days ago i was at my girlfriends, and starting to feel really shitty.. so.. i came back home and now i reckon i have definately got the cold.. but its the man cold that is worse than everyone elses... its bloody murder.. running me down n everything.. so i gets to tesco.. pampers myself with some vapor rub stuff, some lemon sippy stuff and some sucky sweeties... God damnit.. its only the 8th month in.. suppose to be my summer holidays too! CK Get better soon me!(

aye.. i will let you know how i get on.. its tuesday till i get it running... and its only a 1300cc so it was never suppose to have a high top end:P i do however want lower revs on the motorway... sits about 4000 at 70mph... for me its like im putting far to much strain on the car!!! ck

I Got the gearbox from olly a few months back, just getting round to fitting it now.. all has gone well, apart from the cable.. i snapped a plastic bearing when connecting it up so.. gotta wait till tuesday till i get the thing on the road again... cant wait till it is though.. anyone else got a G6 box in their starlets? any info about them?

Ok..so i got my gearbox in.. just wonderin though.. i have 6 forward gears.. but where is reverese? where would reverse be on a 6 speed corolla? CK

Dude.. Your a legend! So.. i talked about the different cornering with the flex on a normal profile tyre... i talked about a softer compound tyres giving you more outta the performance.. although wearing quicker ... etc etc.. it went really well... spoke about the profile of tyres... talked about almost everything on your list Enzo.. i had a few things on that already though.. it was like.. a joint presentation;) Thanks very much Enzo,Idress.. well... heres my ep91 again. recently took it to the workshop to get a cat 1 alarm fitted.. and remote start, and door poppers done.. crackin so it is... remote starts from anywhere in my house! I also got a splitter ... some of you im sure will recognise... Heres some new pics for ya all anyway!! Looks mean:D Thats from the starlet meet about a week or so ago.. Front splitter makes a huge difference!!!
