  1. wait so whats happening now lol?
  2. tbh mate now Ive had a real look at the wiseco pistons i wouldnt wanna risk running with stock rods, theres no way of the pin being lubricated with oil, running steel pin on steel pin is a disaster waiting to happen
  3. i am but id rather just stick the rod in if its all connected, its hard to not damage the piston when pushing those bloody pins out
  4. £20? theyre like £40 otherwise id buy one, plus theyre a bitch to scrape off after lol i could do with having my car done by sunday if i get this single piston tomorrow, i wouldnt get the gasket til at least like thursday
  5. well itll only be running around stock power for the next month til i get hold of some rods
  6. dude the blocks all assembled in the car ready for pistons to go in
  7. ahh i do like the sound of them, but money money money!! im still a college student god dammit! haha
  8. well i mean itll only be in there for a month maybe less, just thought itd be the most appropriate thing to do if they can be reused to save me another £100 !
  9. oh shit sorry mate im completely not with it tonight haha I need that big end cap really mate id rather just plant it straight in, each rod needs its own cap, cant be using caps from other rods (so ive been told by a few engine builders)
  10. right so ive gotta wait another 2 or 3 weeks till i get my rods (arghh) just got some stock pistons and rods i might drop in it to run it temporarily as not having a car is affecting my work and social life lol I have a 1.2mm athena head gasket, can they be used again once the heads taken off? as i dont fancy buying another one next month
  11. ill look into it mate cheers, how much do they cost?
  12. tbh even if they did fit i dont think theyd last due to having a steel pin pivoting on a steel rod little end! thatd cause all sorts of problems,
  13. oh the gudgeon pin then, I'll pm you mate
  14. Ive had people tell me you can, then other people who know more about building engines talked to Tim @ TBdevelopments he said you cant. plus forged rods have brass bushings for and oil holes in the small ends of the rods, stock rods dont, cause the pin isnt supposed to pivot, you cant have steel pin rotating in a steel rod (stock rods have no bushing). The stock pistons have oil holes in the bottoms inside the crown to lube the pin that pivots in the piston whereas forged pistons have no holes as the pin pivots in the rod, not the piston! if that makes sense haha
  15. sorry but whats the cap lol?
  16. cap? eh? my laptops about to die give me a text or call 07948994294
  17. right so i need one stock piston, no cracks obviously, need this asap please, If you want to sell a set of 4 let me know and im sure we can negotiate a price
  18. bump come on people please
  19. real honest guy, saved my arse! nice to do business!
  20. no the gudgeon pins dont fit
  21. as above!!! need to fit wiseco pistons so preferably scat rods, need them asap as my stock rods dont fit like EVERYONE said they would!!!!!!!
  22. as above ^^ as i know some pistons have different pin type, my wisecos have press fit pins with c-clips either end to hold them in
  23. ahhh really want the gearbox from this, but i doubt itll hang around til my next pay day
