Hi all my Sr just passed it's mot despite the throttle body being slightly stuck open the car over revs and the mechanic had to turn heaters on and all sorts to get it through emissions he had it cleaned the best he can and looked for the part which he couldn't find one but needs one for next year I found a few but they are just for starlets in general as far as I'm aware it's 74 bhp just like all the rest without a turbo telling me there the same engine can anybody confirm this or tell me of something that will fit direct that makes more horsies

I've got closer with that info but still can't find 25mm or 30mm and pinky if you got a set spare I'd be chuffed I'd definitely have them if there for sale

Hi all a while ago I snapped a front spring on my 98 sr and replaced it with what the auto factors say was the only kind for all starlets of that year but once fitted the front off side sat higher than the other corners I rang the Toyota dealership I used to work for and they tell me the part is discontinued (along with locking wheels nuts, spent a week tracking some down after loosing the key for the old ones) I've looked everywhere for a spring a old workmate tells me a 30mm drop on front and 35mm on back is the standard ride hight for the car but I can only find 1 30mm drop all round kit for it there hr springs on ebay for about 220 quid I'm only after the front does anyone know where I can get hold of some or anyone has a set sat in there shed not doing anything it's ruined the handling of the car I really want to get this car fun to drive again

someone's is selling a set for 20 quid in the spares section but asking eBay there's a few being broken

yup so did a r33 gtr driver last week lol if we keep the car long enough a turbo conversion could be on the menu but always had my heart set on a bike powered hatch but the girl friend wants to turn it into a ice car :-[ I've found enough threads to turn the turbo units into Megatron but barley anything to do with the Sr

hi all new to the forum and must post how happy I am with a recently purchased Sr in white with 86k on the clock. I brought this for 2 reasons needed a car to teach the missus in and always wanted 1 myself but never got round to it as far as I'm aware the car is standard but absolutely blown away by how it gets round corners it's so much fun my other car is a jag xjr super fast and knocks the smirk off many a Porsche owners face but is nowhere near as fun as the starlet I must admit going from 370-74bhp is a bit of a kick in the testis so to the point I get. I'm really happy with how flat it stays round bends so don't want to ruin it by adding coilovers which in my opinion aren't needed I do want a bit more kick though I've read about the paseo engine swap but this engine must weight more surely I don't want to do anything to make it loose its feel and can't find a 4efte engine for sale anywhere so gonna guess there expensive when they turn up is there anything I can do to make it have a little more kick without spending thousands dropping a turbo lump in it (unless someone can point me in a affordable way or a specialists website) without making it to loud and without putting unnecessary weight over the front wheels a thought was the good old method of twin 40s but I already have 1 thirsty motor without the need for another I'm sure this has been covered but every post I've read with people asking this question get there thread taken over by folk just saying save up and drop a turbo in it any decent links would be spanking as I'm new to the Toyota clan and still finding my way round the web but I know no matter how hard you look there's 1 brilliant one that eludes your attention

I might just be over looking this but I can't find a grommet anywhere on the throttle body
