    Who has ever mounted a speed sensor to the rear of a Starlet?

    What type of sensors to choose and where it should be mounted? Is it a quite easy operation?

    This is for setting launch control based on rpm and ground speed.

  2. Hi, i installed greddy ultimate piggyback with boomslang harness about a year ago, it was ok.

    My oem ecu loom was a mess so i decided to make a more tidy one.

    The problem is now the car wont start. It smells fuel. 

    Remove the emu. Oem ecu plugged only. Car runs fine.

    I think the emu is faulty. Is it possible To use emu without using ignition input output if i just loop them?

  3. Hi everybody,

     

    I was driving my car on full boost ,0.8bar.

    Suddenly i heard like bang, car lost power and wont boost over 0.2bar.Car is running good under boost though, no smoke no rattle etc... 

    I checked ic piping, all good.

    Dump valve is ok too.

    The wastegate is a genuine tial f38 i bought 6 years ago. 

    Can a bad diaphragm cause boost leak or on the contrary i should overboost as the valve wont open.

    I m confused because my friend says  a bad Diaphragm can cause boost leak. 

    Can it be the turbo itself? I say again no whislte no smoke at exhaust.

     

  4. Hi, my car is running really bad atm. 

    It starts well. But idle is rich(Black plugs) and 10afr on brand new aem wideband   and cant accelerate smoothly. In one Word its undrivable.

    My attention is on the map sensor.

    I get 1.7v on idle with multimètre on pim line when its idling and 2.66v ignition on engine off 

    Shouldnt it be around 0.2v when idling ?

    Can someone confirm this please.

    If so, mean map sensor needs to be replaced? 

  5. Thanks. One more question :  i ve distributor ox and knock loom all together and its added to the main loom.

    They are all shield and they end in a Orange connector where ground wires but they are cut.

    Can i ground  the shielding on the châssis ? 

    What happens if the shielding arent grounded?  

    Is it something to worry about or no importance ?thanks

    I m adding  o2 distributor and knock sensor loom for a gt conversion.

    All the shieldings go To a connector with brown wires but they are cut.

    Must i connect thoses

    If your wiring in a knock sensor or any distributor/oxygen sensor wires remember to shield them from interference.

     

     

     

     

     

    Im not sure about the ep91 NA ecu connectors, but have a look at them and compare them to the GT ones and see if they are the same. However the wiring will be different not way off though this is why you need a pin out of the GT/Glanza ecu and of your ecu so u can change/add/remove wires to get it all to work. Also check the fuel pump relay wiring, as on mine it was different, but im not sure about the ep91 NA

  7. Hi i ve a problem with my car, glanza engine swapped in a ep81.

    The car was running well. 

    Now , when i turn key on i ve no light on dash and no starter.

    Only warning lights, horn, High lights. 

    Could you guys help me ? Where should i source the issue?

    I bought a tial mvs wastegate. There are 2 black springs in it. One large and one small.

    The large one is supposed to be 0.8bar but what about the small one? Tial website does not mention it.

     

    Actually i want to know how much pressure there is in it  with the 2 springs combined. Tanks

    my friend has a 4efe with turbo and greddy emanage blue. he s just upgraded to the ultimate.

    he uses the same harness (custom) fot the ultimate. the problem is that the ultimate stays on with key off. when he put the blue back on, its ok.

    what can cause this please? thanks
